Grand Canyon Antelopes
2022 was a successful year for Grand Canyon in the WAC, but they are off to a shaky start in 2023. With some competition exiting the WAC and improvement from competitors, the WAC should have very competitive action in 2023. They are the favorites in the WAC, and should have their biggest competition from Sam Houston. They will look to be a regional qualifying team once again.
Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State had something of a brutal 2022 season. They were one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, and finished nine games under ,500 overall. It was an ugly season, but the positive is that there is at least some expected improvement in 2023. They are projected to jump to the middle of the Big Ten in 2023. The early returns bring some positivity this year, at least from their arms. They have allowed just 4.3 runs per game through their first four.
