Chidi Njokuani -225 vs Dusko Todorovic
✅ Dusko Todorovic has had very mixed results in the UFC. We saw in his last fight that he is still quite dangerous when he can get fights down, winning via ground and pound in Round 1. That was againt Maki Pitolo, a fighter I have long been quite low on, but it was an impressive win nonetheless. Prior to that, his only UFC win was against since cut Dequan Townsend, who had no answers to being stuck on his back. His losses have come via KO against Puna Soriano and by decision against Gregory Rodrigues. Much like his previous two UFC wins, he will need to get this fight down and do his work on the mat. He will not have a fun night in a striking affair.
✅ Chidi Njokuani will be making his third walk to the octagon, if we are counting his DWCS knock out win. In his first fight officially signed to the promotion, he knocked out the normally durable Marc-Andre Barriault in just 16 seconds. Njokuani is a great striker and he will have that advantage to press once again in this matchup. Njokuani is a quality striker whether he is on the front foot or back foot, with the latter being the more important in this matchup.
✅ This fight will play out with Todorovic pushing forward. He will advance and that is where the ability to strike off the back foot will play out to Njokuani’s advantage. We have seen the chin tested and give out on Todorovic already, and a repeat of that is the most likely outcome of that fight. Even if Todorovic is able to get to the clinch, Njokuani is strong there, and will be able to land with power in that aspect as well. If Todorovic is able to get the fight down, he becomes highly likely to win, but that will require him to survive the early stand up portion of the fight. The early Njokuani KO comes with a +110 ITD price tag or a +300 to win in Round 1 price tag. I would not blame you for being overly aggressive on the 3:1 return to win in Round 1, but I will be making the ITD play on Njokuani at +110.
