Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off of a dramatic win over the Tennessee Titans last week to move to 8-6 on the season. Coming into this week's games, the Chargers are sixth in the AFC standings, and are closing in on a playoff spot. Here, they will test themselves against a tough Colts team that is shaking things up at the quarterback position.
In this game, Justin Herbert will be tested once again. He threw for 313 yards against the Titans last week, but the Chargers managed to score just two touchdowns. Herbert will need to be more clinical when in scoring range to help his team win this contest.
Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts are eliminated from playoff contention after last week's miraculous loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Indianapolis led that game 33-0 at halftime, but were outscored 39-3 to finish the game, losing 39-36 in overtime. Here, the Colts will look to rebound, and will turn to a Super Bowl winning quarterback in hopes of doing that.
Nick Foles will get the start at quarterback for the Colts, replacing Matt Ryan under center. Foles led the Eagles to a postseason run that ended in a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots. But that was a long time ago, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in his first game since December of 2021.
