Seattle Sea Dragons
The Seattle Sea Dragons are 0-2 to start this season, but they could just as well be 2-0 if a couple of plays broke their way. Some late Ben DiNucci turnovers combined with a late field goal drive by the St. Louis BattleHawks have the Sea Dragons tied for last place in the North Division. Here, Seattle needs to figure out a way to avoid turnovers and put together a complete game to beat the Vegas Vipers on the road.
Despite their turnover issues, the Sea Dragons have done a great job of moving the football. They are number one in the XFL in passing yardage, even though they have only mustered 18 points per game. The outcome of this game will come down to whether or not the Sea Dragons can clean things up when in possession of the ball.
Vegas Vipers
The Vegas Vipers are also 0-2 to start this XFL season, losing to the Arlington Renegades and DC Defenders. The two-quarterback system of Luis Perez and Brett Hundley has struggled so far, averaging 13 points per game after their 18-6 loss to the Defenders last weekend. Here, the Vipers play the worst team they have played so far this season, but their offense will need to be better regardless of who they are playing.
The lack of a running game for the Vipers has really hurt them so far this season. They have just 115 total rushing yards in the first two games of the season, the lowest total in the league. If they cannot develop some variety with their offense, the Vipers could be hurtling toward an 0-3 start to the season.
