NC State Wolfpack vs Clemson Tigers
NC State Wolfpack
The NC State Wolfpack have delivered promising results so far, going 4-0 in the first month of the season. They have scored 36.0 points per game while allowing only 11.8 points per game. This will be the biggest challenge of the season for the Wolfpack, though, as they have yet to face a ranked opponent going into this top-10 matchup.
The Wolfpack will be counting on their QB Devin Leary, who has 80 completions out of 125 attempts. Leary has accumulated 890 passing yards and nine touchdowns. RB Demie Sumo-Karngbaye will be leading the Wolfpack ground game with 252 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Clemson Tigers
The Tigers are also 4-0 so far after defeating the Wake Forest Demon Deacons last week. The Tigers' offense has been on the field for 304 plays for 1,834 yards. They have also accumulated 734 rushing yards over 153 rushing attempts.
While the offense is playing well, the Tigers seem to be struggling on defense, allowing 346.3 yards per game. They beat Wake Forest last week, but gave up 45 points in the process, and will need to be better defensively against ACC competition going forward.
The key player for the Tigers once again will be QB DJ Uigalelei, who has 83 completions in 129 attempts. He has 1,033 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. Another player to watch will be Will Shipley as their RB, who has a total of 353 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.
The Tigers’ lineup is still missing DE Xavier Thomas, who will remain absent for at least another four weeks due to foot surgery; as well as WR Troy Stellato for the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in the knee.
