Jamie Mullarkey -235 vs Michael Johnson

✅ Michael Johnson finally got back in the win column in his most recent fight. He scored a KO of Alan Patrick and it was desperately needed. He was coming off four straight losses and was staring his walking papers right in the eye. Obviously the downside to notching wins is the level of competition going up once again, and that is the case with this matchup with Jamie Mullarkey. Johnson will be tasked with keeping range and something of a point style striking matchup, and that is simply not the type of fight Mullarkey brings. I think Johnson is facing an impossible stylistic matchup in this fight. 

✅Jamie Mullarkey is fresh off a loss to the insanely rapidly ascending Jalin Turner. That takes him a step down in level of competition and he draws a favorable matchup. The style of fight is also one we have seen him have success with in the past. Prior to the Turner fight, Mullarkey was matched up with rangy and extremely powerful striker Devonte Smith. In that fight, Mullarkey weathered the storm, made the fight dirty and ultimately drained and finished his opponent. I foresee a similar outcome in this fight. Prior to that fight, Mullarkey starched another striker in Khama Worthy. 

✅ We also know Mullarkey has quite a sound wrestling game. He has that as plan B if something goes wrong. He is additionally the fighter with more power and this fight simply sets up very well for him. We have seen Johnson finished in the second round or later in five of his last ten fights overall. That holds true for four of his last seven losses. I think it will be the middle of the second round when Johnson succumbs to the pressure of Mullarkey. In any event, I fully expect a Mullarkey finish and we only have to lay -105 on that ITD line.
