Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins made the playoffs as the seventh seed in the AFC. To get there, they beat the New York Jets in Week 18, while the New England Patriots lost to the Bills. But while Miami has made it into the tournament, they have fallen on hard times over the last month and a half, and are in real danger of going one and done in the postseason.
Miami lost five straight games before beating the Jets in Week 18. But that Week 18 win was not convincing either, as they only scored via field goals and a safety. Against one of the best teams in the league on both sides of the ball this season, Miami will need to be way better offensively, which may not be possible if Tua Tagovailoa is out.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills come into the NFL playoffs on an extended winning streak, and are heavy favorites to advance to the second round of the postseason. They come into the playoffs off of a blowout win over the New England Patriots, and will look for another blowout win this week against the Dolphins.
Buffalo struggled defensively at home against the Dolphins earlier in the season, as they needed a walk-off field goal to win that game 32-29. But they could get a reprieve in the form of Tua Tagovailoa's status being uncertain. If he cannot play, the Bills will have a much easier task defending against Teddy Bridgewater or Skylar Thompson.
