There is a high level of skill on both sides of this fight. It is truly nonsensical that this fight is placed so low on the card.
✅ David Dvorak is a very well rounded fighter with a pressuring style. He enjoys pushing forward, getting in his opponents face and throwing heavy shots. While he will have some level of success with that approach in this fight, he will simultaneously be setting himself up for failure. The style Dvorak employs is not one that will work well against this particular opponent.
✅ Matheus is also extremely well rounded and is better at deploying a patient approach. I believe he prefers an opponent like Dvorak to rush in. This gives Nicolau an opportunity to get his counter striking working, and land heavy while doing so. More importantly, it gives Nicolau the opportunity to duck under and complete takedowns. His BJJ is the best aspect of his game, and he will be the better grappler in this matchup. Take the small underdog to notch the win.
