The Milwaukee Bucks come into Christmas weekend in the top-four in the Eastern Conference. Their combination of Giannis Antetokounmpo and an elite defense have made them incredibly hard to beat this season. But they have done most of their winning at home this year, and will need to get the job done on the road to beat the Boston Celtics.
Khris Middleton's status is a huge question mark for the Bucks coming into this contest. He has missed several recent matchups due to his knee. As we saw in the playoffs against the Bucks last year, Middleton's absence could be incredibly costly against the Celtics.
Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are in a tight battle with the Milwaukee Bucks at the top of the Eastern Conference coming into the Christmas holiday. The winner of this game has the inside track to the lead in the conference as the new year approaches. For the Celtics, though, winning at home has been a bit of a challenge in recent games.
Boston has recently lost at home against the Orlando Magic twice and the Indiana Pacers once, dropping multiple home games to teams who are expected to be in the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes this offseason. If they can put that behind them and re-focus, we could see a Celtics team that looks more like the one that won the East a season ago.
