Athlon Sports preseason All-Big Ten selections: Ohio State dominates with 16 players

Preseason college football magazines and publications will be published soon, but some content is already out. Athlon Sports has released its college football preseason top 25 and other online information regarding the upcoming season.

Ohio State will be well-represented on preseason All-Big Ten teams. Michigan has one more player across all four teams than OSU, but the Buckeyes have eight first-teamers.

There are sixteen Ohio State players among the four teams for 2022. Of course, it's all predicated on projecting how good each will be in the upcoming autumn.

First-team All-Big Ten

The first-team All-Big Ten offense line will include some players from Ohio State, such as RB TreVeyon Henderson, WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, OL Paris Johnson, and Jr. Dewand Jones. Each player shows some memorable play in their NCAA career.

The first-team All-Big Ten defense line will include players like CB Denzel Burke, KR Emeka Egbuka, and Safety Ronny Hickman.

Second-team All-Big Ten

Second-team All-Big Ten offense includes DL Jack Sawyer. During the fourth quarter of an NCAA Division, I football game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Maryland Terrapins at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, defensive end Jack Sawyer (33) celebrated following a sack.

In offense and defense, J.T. Tuimoloau and Tommy Eichenberg will be put on the third team, respectively. Tuimoloau (44) made an appearance during an NCAA game against Indiana Hoosiers at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington on October 2021 as Ohio won 54-7.

Meanwhile, Linebacker Eichenberg (35) made quite an appearance when he, together with Burke (29), tackled Tulsa Golden Hurricane RB Anthony Watkins (23) in the third quarter of the NCAA game in September 2021.

Fourth-team All-Big Ten

Fourth -the team only consists of one player: defensive linemen Tyleik Williams (91). He was seen celebrating in the game for Ohio after sacking Akron Zips QB Dj Irons (0) during the fourth quarter of the NCAA Division I game in September 2021.
