Why bet Georgia:
✅ Georgia’s defense is the best in the country, allowing barely over 200 yards per game to opposing offenses. They are giving up under six points per game, making things really easy on the Bulldogs’ offense this season.
✅ Kentucky is 6-0 this year but their biggest wins have come at home against Florida and LSU. On the road in a hostile environment, their offensive limitations will be exposed against the best defense in college football.
Kentucky Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats are a surprising 6-0 to start this season, going from an unranked team to the number 11 team in the nation going into this game. And, as has been the case over the last few years, it has been the defense of the Wildcats that has been its greatest strength. Kentucky has held LSU and Florida to a combined 34 points over the last two games to pick up two huge wins at home.
For the Wildcats, the concern coming into this game is their offense, as is the case for any team about to play against Georgia. Kentucky has averaged right around 200 yards per game both through the air and on the ground while on offense. But every team Georgia has played this season has vastly underperformed their averages, and Kentucky is in danger of the same thing happening to them here.
Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia was always expected to be an elite team this season, but nobody could have predicted just how good they would be through six games. The Bulldogs are alone as the number one team in college football right now, having won their first six games in dominant fashion. Giving up 5.5 points per game, there is no limit to what this team can achieve if they continue to get stops on the defensive end of the field.
The big question for the Bulldogs in this game will be whether or not the pressure of being number one gets to them at all. At home in front of a crowd whose expectations have been raised significantly by a national championship contender, Georgia will have to avoid mental mistakes. But those mental mistakes should be the only barrier between the Bulldogs and a 7-0 start.
